The alternation of the seasons on earth is the mirror of the journey of our life. During each stage there is always something to explore, savor and understand. When we put ourselves in total sync with the life cycle ofthe planet we live in, we have the opportunity to enjoy and learn from each season.

Having left the harshwinter behind, the time of introspection, energy saving, recollection and isolation, we are now ready to enjoythe new amount of light. We feel more dynamic and ready to put into practice all that we have learned from the silence of winter. Unfortunately, modern man is only now rediscovering, in part, the opportunities that arise from his attunement with the cycle of the earth and its laws. The moments of growth, of self-discovery, of improving one's health and that of the planet are just some aspects from which we can benefit.
Unfortunately for us, working with the seasons is still too often underestimated or classified as old-fashioned. To get an idea of how far from Nature we've come, you can ask yourself a simple question: "who makes an active effort to cultivate the silence we are called/invited to mirror in winter?".
Far too many people often believe silence to be avoided, it must be filled, sometimes with inappropriate words that serve neither themselves nor others, for the simple and useless purpose of removing silence from busy lives.
The wisest that have ever walked on Earth knew the preciousness of silence far too well. Silence is comparable to the condition of apparent sleep that characterizes winter, where nature silently reflects, rests and prepares to welcome the new. Energy accumulates, saved in seeds that know exactly when conditions will become favorable for their development.
We, humans of year 2023, have lost the link with the seasons, or worse we think we can dominate and deceive them with all our "science". Thanks to human intellect we have created a system that allows us to always have everything (think of strawberries in the middle of winter andseedless fruits, genetically modified!). We deluded ourselves that an industrialized and "modern" society could make us live well, or rather in that false illusion that we can have everything immediately at hand or click. But the cost of maintaining this system is enormous, beyond our reach, our energies are continuously at their maximum, as well as the continuous exploitation of human, natural and mineral resources. All of this has led to a system where the lack of time to rest and reflect has become normal, to such an extent that those who manage to allow themselves time to laze around, meditate, reflect, play or sleep 1h in the afternoon are often labeled as unproductive. Whether we like this or not, consumism has taken us further and further away from our essence. Think of the hours spent scrolling through Facebook or Instagram pages or staying glued to the TV. We are no longer able to understand where we are really going, because we have let ourselves be swallowed up by the superfluous. We then often complain that we are sick, that something is wrong, that theworld does not find peace for some dark reason and so on. The reason is that there have been generations of people who have been deluded by a false idea of well-being, or if you prefer, by the idea that you can party and be in summer all year round, at all costs.
But if we look at the natural changing of seasons, as well as the billions of other natural phenomena, nothing goes on for long. Moments of intense activity alternate with moments of complete stasis and immobility. These moments allow the cycle of the earth, and the life it hosts, to breathe and gather energy, before transforming it again and creating something new and "maybe", for us humans, to go towards authentic progress globally. In this context a crucial role can be played in the prevention realms, if we only understand how valuable it is. These aspects play an important role in the suffering that we are called to assist every day, sometimes becoming victims of it, unconsciously. In this new renaissance, we have new individual and collective challenges to overcome, but we have yet another opportunity to change our attitude to problems. We can choose to grow, to respect ourselves, to set time aside, to bloom at our own pace, to cheer with others, to offer help and ultimately to understand what we really need. This is how spring can bloom again within us.
