A balanced diet is important for many reasons, not least to ensure you have enough energy to keep active throughout the day and maintain a healthy weight. Ensuring you have the relevant nutrients in your diet for growth and repair will also help you to stay well and prevent diseases. I have listed below 10 reasons that you could find interesting and will probably give you a quick overview of how easy is to get a balanced diet.

1. Give colour to your plate (notice if there is enough red, yellow, green, white, orange and so on)
